Homme, quel jour!
Man,what a day! Spent the whole morning and afternoon servicing the car with my dad..first had to wake up like super early just to get down to Jalan Ipoh where the Hyundai service centre is and then had to wait til like noon before the car was done..then because the tyres on the car were pretty worn out so had to travel back to PJ to get to another workshop to get the tyres changed. Man,just only finished having my lunch. And guess what, when i got home..i found out that my powerbook just gave up on me..Well,i kinda saw it coming already cause i can hear the hard disk making noises already..which is not normal but i was being really really positive about it but guess that didnt work. :(
Gonna wait til like after 7pm then go over to Ikano so that i can send my powerbook in for service..i'm really hoping that all the data i had in the hard disk can still be recovered but dont think it can be saved cause i had this problem before and it was really not good. sigh..erm,anybody interested in buying a 1 year old Apple Powerbook G4? hehe. :P Nah,just kidding..or wait, the new powerbook just came out..maybe i can get that in replacement of this one..hahaha. ;) So erm,any takers for a used powerbook? :P
Anyways, was pretty bored this morning while waiting at the service centre for the car..managed to watch President George Bush give his first speech to the State of Union..whatever that is but basically, its just a speech where each newly elected president must give before he starts his new 4 years in leadership. It was ok except for the constant standing ovation that the crowd was giving each time he said something..makes it look like the whole standing ovation thing was just a planned up show for people that was watching it on tv. Now i know why i dont watch any presidential speeches on tv..cause they are pretty boring and take a longer time than it should to finish. :)
Its been awhile since i sent the car for service with my dad..it was ok..but spending time with him today made me realise that i'm kinda like him in certain ways..and that really scares me! Man,after today i kinda realise how other people feel when they are around me..somehow i feel that i act like my dad in some ways or another..or maybe he acts like me..hehe. :P Anyways,i'm actually pretty freaked out by it cause i dont really like some of the stuffs..so erm, guess today i got a glimpes of how people feel/think about me when they are around me. Which is a good thing i guess but u know..changing isnt an instant thing and beginning to realise ur own flaws is a good start i guess. Hopefully,i'll learn my lesson and change some of the stuffs that i see in my dad, that i think i see in myself which i dont like. :) I'm kinda hoping that i dont turn out to be like my dad..I mean,no offence or anything i think i can do better i guess..well,not that he's not doing a good job or anything but erm..oh well,u know what i mean. :) God,i dont know what i mean..haha. :P Anyways, today was kinda an eye-opener for me so i guess its good. :)
Oh yeah, another highlight of the day was when my dad and i went to Handi-Mart at SS14 to get some stuffs and while i was parking the car..i saw this auntie and her daughter that's about Geraldine's age getting into a souped-up Mazda RX-7..i mean,a really sporty looking RX-7 with all the accessories, big muffler and bad-@$$ looking stuffs. Ok, ok..just imagine my mom or auntie Yet Meng (my mom's sister/my aunt) driving a sports car..maybe a RX-7 or a Supra..Man,what a waste! ;) I wonder how fast does that auntie go in that baby? hehe. :P She must be able to get to the market and back in a jiffy..hehe. ;) Think i better not say too much, she might be able to out-run my slow-coach @$$. :D
Oh yeah, about the photo above..i'm guessing most of the people in the Klang Valley would know which fashion boutique uses this weird looking thing for their window display. :) Some crazy dope-head at Calvin Klein, Malaysia must have high while coming up with this crazy-@$$ display concept. :D I wonder if anybody actually found this interesting or nice. Sure made me decide NOT to go into the shop ever again. :) Guess they must be trying to use the reverse psychology thing to play with the minds of their their target audience. :) Guess that idea didnt work..haha..well,didnt work on me thats for sure. :)
Oh well, guess i'll be sitting in front of my tv watching astro while waiting for all the working people to get home so that i dont have to get stuck in the traffic jam of exhausted working people trying be rude and uncivilised to other drivers. :) I really think that most Malaysian drivers are getting from bad to worse when they are behind the wheels and on the road..well,some of them off-road as well. :P Maybe we should all just be using public transport or something but then the government would have to make sure that the public transports are reliable which they aren't now. :D So everything's going around in a vicious cycle. :) Isn't that a great motivation to wake up each morning? haha. :P Sound kinda negative today, don't i? Oh well, things should get better during the weekend or when Chinese New Year comes and i get loads of 'angpow' (red packet)..that should cheer me up abit. haha. :P "Au revoir, mes amis."
