First accident that isn't my fault.

Yeah, got into a minor accident in the afternoon after church while on the way to lunch. Sigh, what a way to break-in the Toyota Altis. The guy behind me couldn't stop in time because of the driver in front of me slammed on the brakes. Then came the loud bang and i was thinking, 'Oh crap, this better not be a huge dent or the guy's gonna really pay!' Thank God, it wasn't as bad as i first imagined it to be. Just minor scratches which i think can be taken care of when i go wash my car. Can't really see it actually.

The other guy's car was not as lucky as me cause his front grill was slightly dented...he looked pretty shaken. Maybe cause i had Andrew and Donald there with me at that time..so i guess he must be thinking, 'Sh*t, this guy has back-up, what to do?' haha. :D Well, i didn't ask him for compensation and i think that took him by suprise. I just shaked his hand and off we went. Donald said that i should have asked him for some money to compensate for the damage. Dax on the other hand, said i should have jot down his car licence plate number for future reference. So if you were in my shoes, would you have asked for money from the guy?

Lets just say you've already assessed the damage and it isn't major. You know you won't be fixing it anytime soon until some worse happens to it. Would you still ask the guilty party to pay you? Knowing well that you won't be using the money to fix your car. What would you do?

All i know is that, i'm glad that in this accident, i wasn't the guilty party! :D The last 4 accidents that i've been involved in was mostly because of my carelessness. One of the worst accident that i could remember was the one that happened in front of The Summit in Subang Jaya a couple of years back. Stopped at the traffic light, talking to the girls that was in my car and thinking it was green...i rear-ended Dax's car and in turn caused him to rear-end the car in front of him. That was really bad, my radiator was leaking and smashed both my front headlights. Man, that was bad! haha. :) So thank God this time..it wasn't a major accident and it wasn't because of me! :) God, please no more accidents...seriously! :P
