Does ear wax expand?

Well,it seems mine did after i went for a swim in Penang. :) Saw a doctor last Friday and it seems the ear wax in my right ear expanded and it has almost blocked out my right ear..so for that,i'm currently having a constant ring and mild headache. Craps,maybe using the cotton-buds after i swam thinking it was just water wasn't such a good idea after all. :) Think i'll have to see a specialist soon after i finish the drips that the doctor gave me. This is so NOT good!! So if i didn't respond to you or if i can't seem to hear what you're saying...it's not because i'm trying to avoid you. :) I'm just hearing with one ear. ;)
