Tout Ce Jazz
Ahhh,at last i can blog..hehe. :P i just got back from erm..being out the whole day. :) had life drawing class today and thank goodness it ended at 1pm. then took a nap at Li Ann's place and got a call from Elaine asking me to go down to KLCC with her to recon some more stuffs for her over-demanding client. And the finale of my day was when i went for the Sunrise Carlsberg Jazz Festival. :) it was all good! i think good can't even be used to begin describing the sweet sweet sound i heard at tonight's gig. :)
Well, its safe to say now that the highlight of my week was being able to be there when Groove Unction with Jose Thomas made sweet music and lead on vocals by Malaysia's very own Mia Palencia. :) Definitely the best female jazz vocalist in Malaysia. :) The band was really tight..so tight that when a new bottle of peanut butter sees them perform, it'll go "Man,this band is tight." ;) Personally, its really good to see that malaysians are actually stepping up and at least getting better in the music scene especially in the jazz category. That was just the better half of the night coz before Groove Unction came on there were a few bands from musiccanteen.com which are a bunch of malaysians trying to kickstart their own careers in the music industry. It was interesting and not to say that they were bad but it's just that they werent playing jazz...yeah,i know its good exposure for them but erm...its a JAZZ FEST?!?!!? what were they thinking? have their own festival or something!! :P
guess i better be logging off and sleep. :) shouldnt be sleeping so late..erm,i mean so early everyday..hahaha.. :P ah ha,i've managed not to be so long-winded already..hahaha. :) take that u erm..erm...take that world..hehe. :P oh,who am i kidding..i think the next blog be very long-winded as the others. so "Bonne nuit et rĂªves doux" my good friends. :) "Faites l'amour et pas faites la guerre." hahahaha...this is a really funny translation..hehehe..i hope its correct lar..but it means "Make love and not made the war"...hahaha..go figure. ;) :P
