Dumb@$$ don't understand the rules.

Stupid Fella@Petrol Station, originally uploaded by hanlian.

I know the photo isn't really that clear but i think you can see this dumb@$$ talking away on his mobile phone while waiting at a petrol station. I guess the fella doesn't know how to read the signboards and the tv commercials that encourage us NOT to use our mobile phones while at a petrol station...and also many other things such as don't keep the engine running nor smoke for obvious reasons. If you have been following the TV series called MythBusters on Discovery Channel, you might say that they have busted that myth but they also did say that there could be a possibility of an explosion because of using a mobile phone while refueling. Check it out here. So why do dumb@$$ people like this take the risk and put everybody else at the petrol station at risk?

*note* : thanks to Dzof, he has pointed me to another article that's bust the myth about there is no danger in using a mobile phone while refueling at a petrol station. So i guess i've been proved that i was wrong this time. :D Oh well,at least i learnt something new. :) So one quick question..why do they put up signboards telling people not to use their mobile phone while refueling at petrol stations then? :) Just curious. Hisyam has also pointed out that while i was complaining about the dumb@$$ that was using his mobile phone to call, i was using my mobile phone to take his photo. :D So it's like 'the pot calling the kettle black' i guess. :)

Helpful or not?

To Help Or Not, originally uploaded by hanlian.

If you can't see what's wrong with this photo..let me explain. :) As usual to make elevators more user-friendly to the physically-challenged malaysians, in this case, the visually-impaired people. they have provided braille for each button to each floor of the apartment. But because they want to protect their elevator buttons from vandals vandalizing the buttons...they've actually nullified the use of the braille with the addition of the plastic protector in front of the buttons. :) Interesting, isn't it? :) How do they expect the visually-impaired to know which button to press to get to which floor? :) Banyak pandai.

Saw this at Elsie's new apartment near the Mutiara Damansara area while i was being a gentleman and helped her get some of the furniture she bought from Ikea up to her place. :)

Yummy nasi lemak.

Uncle Lim_Nasi Lemak, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Now this one looks so much better and the aroma smells better compared to the assam laksa. :) The nasi lemak comes with sotong [malay for squid] and chicken rendang. :)

Assam Laksa from Uncle Lim.

Uncle Lim_Assam Laksa, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Looks so so to me..and the aroma didn't tickle my fancy compared to the other assam laksa i've had. :) Think you can give this one a miss when you're there. :)

RM2.80 for a cup of ice tea.

Uncle Lim_Teh Ais, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Went over to Ikano with Kelly and Elsie...they wanted to go to Ikea and i need to go to Cold Storage to get some more items for the BBQ supper thing at Evelyn's. :)

So this is the expensive cup of ice tea i've ever had from Uncle Lim at Ikano...the girls needed to eat before they continued their little shopping spree. :)

Remember this?

Penyapu Lidi, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Ok,i'm sorry the photo isn't that good but i had to be quick, don't want to get caught in Giant for taking photos. haha. :P
Anyways,i remember the penyapu lidi without the pink plastic holder. :D When did they start coming up stuffs like this? I remember last time when i was a kid, the penyapu lidi was held together with some rubber band or rattan. :) Or something of that sort.

I used to take one out once and awhile and play pretend that it was a lightsaber..haha. :P I guess that only meant one thing...i was pretty boring when i was young. :P couldn't find anything else to play with..haha. ;)

Oh by the way...if any of you have nothing planned for tomorrow night, go check out Alexis Bistro, Paul Ponnadorai is playing. It seems that he's one great guitarist home-grown right here in Malaysia. :) I've not heard of him personally but Eugene and Julian has been giving me alot of positive comments about this guy, and believe me, you can take their word for it. :)

Dinner @ Damansara Jaya.

Sunday, August 28, 2005

Dinner, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Yum,yum. :) Had 'tai chow' with Nelson & Yvonne at this restaurant near Atria, Damansara Jaya. If you've had the famous claypot chicken rice at a corner restaurant near Atria, Damansara Jaya then that's the place i was at just now for dinner. :) The only claypot chicken rice i know so far that allows you to call ahead to make your order about 20-30 minutes ahead before you get to the restaurant cause that's how long you'll have to wait if you walked in. :)

Anyways, in the same restaurant..there's a 'tai chow' also...so we had 'ha kou', 'pak choy' [i think it's 'pak choy', correct me if i'm wrong. :)] and hot-plate beancurd. :) Yummy to the bone. :D Worth a try if you're there and you're just bored of waiting for your claypot chicken rice to get done...order from the 'tai chow' :)

My first McDonald's grilled chicken foldover.

Grilled Chicken FoldOver, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Yes, my very first McDonald's grilled chicken foldover. And i have to say..it's one of the better items available on the McDonald's menu. :) But still i'm not a very big McDonald's since before i watched Super Size Me but after watching it..the more i don't feel like going to McDonald's just because it is not healthy. :) Definitely worth the watch for those McDonald's freaks out there. :)

Yes,i know that the guy might have gone abit too extreme on his little experiment but then some of the stuffs that he mentioned is quite true and definitely need abit of consideration on our own part. For example, most kids nowadays can instantly recognize who is Ronald McDonald and the golden arches from miles away. :) They can't recognize pictures of George Bush or Jesus Christ but they can recognize Ronald McDonald, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Wendy's and all the other fast food restaurant icons. :) Not something i want my kids to excel in that's for sure. :D

Vios In Drain.

Car In Drain, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Poor lady..must have got bumped by another car/van/lorry and went straight into the drain. She and her Toyota Vios was pretty shaken up when i was passed by. This is around the Section 19 area near the V-Kool Building heading towards SeaPark. Guess we better be more careful else somebody might be next. :)

Thank the Lord! They are doing something.

Monday, August 22, 2005

Yes, praise God..the government has officially starting to punish errant motorists based on photos and information provided by the public using the latest technology. :D The mobile phone with camera and also slim-sized digital cameras. :) News Straits Times reported this matter on their front page. What a wonderful day for this to be happening. :) Now i can post my photos of errant motorist that crossed my path. :D You can also do so here. Remember those times when there were crazy, dumb@$$ motorist that drove pass you, thinking they own the road and you are just a measly fly that's blocking his/her way...now you can take a photo of that crazy, dumb@$$ motorist and report his/her sorry @$$ in and hopefully the government will give them a good fine for their irresponsible and rude behaviour! :D I know, i know..its more fun and better when we get our chance to give those irresponsible and rude motorist a piece of our mind but then this way is much safer. :) So start snapping and send in photos of those errant motorist, good, law abiding citizens and watch all you rude dumb@$$ motorist. :)

Restaurant Woo Lan

Sunday, August 21, 2005

Woo Lan, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Had my monthly family dinner here at Restaurant Woo Lan just now. The food isn't as good as it used to be when they were next to the Catholic Church on Jalan Tun Sambanthan. Now they're located in a corner shoplot on Jalan Scott. Would have been better if i had BBQ Chicken and Hoi Nam noodles from Jalan Imbi. Too bad, guess i'll just have to try to go again some other time.

Batacuda

Batacuda, originally uploaded by hanlian.

So this is Batacuda from Melbourne, Australia. Kinda reminds me of Aseana Percussion Unit but caters to children as well in their performances. :) A really all-rounded package, percussionist, jugglers & comedians. Good exposure for the public to have a glimpse of what to expect when Stomp arrives. :)

Managed to catch The Jumping JellyBean Cleaning Company play. :) Really really funny and a great english lesson..teaching the people the basics of speaking english. :) They annunciate their words so well, even without the microphone..we can hear them very well in a overcrowded room filled with children and adults. :) I hope they'll be doing more shows back in The Actors Studio again. :)

The KL Children's theatre Festival 2005

Children's Fest @ NAG, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Just found out about this festival when Nelson brought me to the National Art Gallery to watch Batacuda in action. :) Interesting event catering to both adults and children. :) Worth sparing some time to catch the performances that's happening throughout the festival. :)

Jose Thomas & Groove Unction featuring an old friend.

Saturday, August 20, 2005

Groove Unction @ Alexis_1, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Since the band did not have a vocalist and 2 other regulars with them for the night..they managed to find some talents from the crowd. :) As Kevin put it so well, 'tonight, we're just Groove..without the Unction.' haha. But it was still a great show. :) This gentleman here in the floral shirt used to jam with Jose Thomas when he was 'up and coming' about 20 years ago. :) Before John Thomas was even born it seems, when he and Jose was jamming in Damansara Jaya. :) I have to say he had a very seasoned voice. Wonderful. :) What a treat it was to have heard him sing Summertime during the 2nd half of the session. :) And also another lady sang but i can't remember the name of the song. :)

Most of the crowd had already left, leaving only the true fans of the band. :) Which was not disappointed with songs such as 'Technicolor Nightmare' and other songs which allowed each member to have a solo session of their own. Really a joy to see musicians playing together so well. :) Ended the night with "tanga'..which was played double the usual tempo the band was used to. :) Even Kevin admitted he had some trouble trying to keep up..haha. :) Just amazing. :)

Raimy and I had the privilege to chat with Kevin and also Jose after the gig. Kevin was telling us how each musician practice to prepare themselves for the solo parts of the song and how he had just started playing a few years back. :) Very friendly guy to talk to.. :) Jose on the other hand was telling us about how he would like to be invited to play at LUCT some day to open the minds of the students there to different genre of music. :)

Raimy and i was commenting that there might not be alot of people in LUCT that looks like they are interested in jazz. :) Mostly Hip-hop or Rock. :) But it would be great and a honor for Groove Unction to play at LUCT. :) A great news from Jose was that Groove Unction has been invited to play at the Singapore Jazz Fest this coming October if i'm not mistaken. :) And also a CD can be expected end of the year. :) So great things coming our way. :) Plans for a John Thomas CD and a Jose Thomas CD is in the works after the band's first CD. :)

So if you're free later this evening around 10.30pm, swing over to Alexis Bistro, Great Eastern Mall, Jalan Ampang to catch Jose Thomas and Groove Unction in action. :) As Jose said 'we make music that makes your body parts move' or something like that..haha. :D

Jose Thomas & Groove Unction @ Alexis Bistro.

Groove Unction @ Alexis, originally uploaded by hanlian.

L-R : TK on keyboard, Jose on guitar, AJ on bass, Kevin on sax & John on drums.

Yes, i was there with Raimy. :D It was a great night even though they were late..mostly because of the traffic jam and also Jose & John had some encounters with some road bullies and some accidents on the road. :) Kevin was also caught in the jam. :) i was quite suprised that Eric Li, Fly and Beverly couldn't make it this time round. :) The guys had other plans and Beverly had some trouble with the Malaysian Immigration so hopefully later tonight we'll be seeing her on stage. :D

It was quite interesting to watch the 2 new musician try to blend in with the rest but i was told by Kevin that the both of them had jammed with the group twice before..but it was all good. :) They managed to hit all the key notes of each song. :) Interesting fact that i found out after the gig was that AJ is the bassist for Pop Shuvit...not too bad i have to say. :)

Jose tried to get the crowd to join in since there wasn't a vocalist with the band but it seems the crowd was abit shy. :) They did a John Coltrane song, a Dave Weckl featuring the 'up and coming' musician, John Thomas. A term which Jose admitted that he does not like the journalist use to describe his son. :)

I was on 90.3 Traxx.FM.

Wednesday, August 17, 2005

Wow,i couldn't believe it..Jezza and Maya from 90.3 TraxxFm called me at 11.45pm. They were asking me to elaborate about the review i sent to them about a jazz even that went on last weekend. :) It all started when Eugene from allDatJazz.com told me about a 'homework' the duo gave on Jazz Selecta last week. The prize was an Az Samad's Acoustic Gesture CD. Man, i still can't believe that i won. :D It seems because i sent in a photo with my review, that tipped the scale to my side. ;) I think i sounded like a crazy guy high on crack while i was talking to them on air..even my friend was saying i sounded like an ah beng who couldn't stop talking. Man,i wonder what Malaysians thought about me when i was on the air. I wonder if they even understood a word i was talking about. Oh well...guess i'll find out soon enough or not. :) Anyways, like i was saying on air...if you haven't gone to a jazz event featuring Malaysian jazz musicians in Malaysia...go check it out..free your mind a little, move away from the constrains of daily dosage of pop/rock/R&B played on every radio station in Malaysia. If you want to find out what's happening..check out allDatJazz.com, you'll find all the information you'll need to find a jazz event happening near your area. :)

I can see clearly now!

Haze No More, originally uploaded by hanlian.

I can see clearly now, the haze is gone! Well,ok..maybe it hasn't cleared totally but still it's much better then what is was on Wednesday and Thursday when many Malaysian bloggers were posting photos and cursing the Indonesians about it. :D For example, this blog here was started just for the haze i think. :) Good avenue to let creative/innovative Malaysians to show off their photoshop skills. :D

As you can from this photo, it has gotten much better. You can compare this photo taken today around 11.30am with this photo taken on Tuesday, 02/08 and this one taken on Wednesday, 11/08. Really have to thank God for the rain yesterday afternoon, it was raining heavily and the wind was strong. So strong that from my apartment, i could see the raindrops going almost sideways. :) A friend of mine smsed to say maybe we've overprayed for rain but i don't think so..we should get another 2 more days of heavy rain to clear all the haze. :D Now if they can get the Indonesians to stop doing it next year and the years to come..that'll be great! :)

The finale at Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2005.

Sunday, August 14, 2005

Mark David - APU, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Man, the final night is always great. :) Got there around 9pm just in time to catch the first group finish their set. I heard from Farah that they were a group of students so guess i didn't miss that much. :D Steve Thornton and Afro Asia was great..those guys really have palms/hands of steel. They whack them djembe and congas like there's no tomorrow! Really crazy but great stuff to watch. :)

Then there was High Wired with Jordan Rivers which was kinda abit under par but i was told by Eugene the reason they weren't up to standard was they didn't get enough practice and the band members were different from those that were playing at Avanti, Sunway Hotel. So can't ask for more since they were suppose to play next week but got pushed up early because of the haze problem. :)

And there was Aseana Percussion Unit (APU) and this here is Mark David. I have to say all the members of APU are bloody talented lar..i think most of them can play more than 2 instruments and here i am struggling with just one. Don't know where to feel encouraged/inspired or not also. haha. :D Hopefully next year's Jazz fest will feature more upcoming musicians. :)

Injured Aseana Percussion Unit member.

Philip Robert - APU, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Yes, this guy had a serious accident which broken his left leg and recovering but he still managed to hop up to the stage and perform with the band! Bloody passionate about the music, that's all i have to say about him! :) It is always nice to see/meet people like this.

Another Aseana Percussion Unit member.

Jeremy Ventura - APU, originally uploaded by hanlian.

This here is, Jeremy Ventura. Taken while he was singing and playing the bass. A definitely difficult thing to do, ask any bassist in town...they will tell you it is not easy to sing and play at the same time. :) Well, except for the guitar i guess..but then again i might be wrong. :)

Aseana Percussion Unit Rocks!

Sanjiv Daevin- APU, originally uploaded by hanlian.

This guy here..Sanjiv Daevin is a bloody talented guy! Last night when i was there at the final day of the Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest, he was playing the violin, the keyboard, percussion...and i dont mean play like a little kid,ok. :D Where do these people find the time to learn how to play so many different types of instrument? You can either feel inspired by them or just feel disappoint how you turned out. haha. :P

Farid Ali Quartet @ Alexis Bistro.

Saturday, August 13, 2005

Farid Ali Quartet - Alexis Bistro, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Eric Li was suppose to play with them but he was feeling under the weather so he couldn't make it..but it was a blessing in disguise because Farid Ali had always wanted to play a quartet so he got his wish. :D

I was very lucky to have been able to chat with him, Julian and John during the 2 sets. They were really friendly to a guy that had just met them one or two times. :D It was really wonderful..hearing Farid Ali explain about the gambus, making small talks with Julian and John..didn't really get to talk to the bassist though..but still a great night out alone.

Was kinda hesitant to go alone but it turned out to be a great night. :D Oh,the people in the photo...L-R : Farid Ali aka Mr.Gambus, Wan(i think) on Bass, Julian Chan on saxophone & flute and John Thomas on drums. Next week at Alexis Bistro, Great Eastern Mall, Jalan Ampang...Jose Thomas & Groove Unction. Can't wait for that..and also later tonight at Mont Kiara's Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest..Afro Asia with Steve Thornton, LiveWire High Wired and Aseana Percussion Unit. Wonderful weekend ahead! :)

Farid Ali Trio @ Alexis Bistro.

Farid Ali Trio - Alexis Bistro, originally uploaded by hanlian.

One word...Amazing! The 2 sets that Farid Ali & gang played was just amazing. It was so experimental, it was so much better than watching him at the Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest last week. Smaller place, cozy, easier to interact with the crowd. :) Can't ask for more. :D This photo was taken before Julian Chan made it there, got held back at a recording session at Astro for Reshmonu.

Nasi Bojari

Nasi Bojari_Madam Kwan, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Doesn't this dish make your mouth water? :D Note:the chili and the onions on the rice does not come with the dish...came from LM's assam laksa..can you believe it that her assam laksa came with tons of chili and onions. well,i guess that's why it cost RM11.30. :D Anyway, the beef rendang was nice, the assam prawns were somewhat mild but the fried chicken was nice. :) Delicious and pretty expensive. :) Worth visiting once and awhile. :)

Yummy!

Fried Tofu_Madam Kwan, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Went to Madam Kwan's, Midvalley for lunch with LM yesterday. Really yummy...had the fried tofu as a side dish..a little more expensive but still good. :)

Wow,i didn't realise that they are now shipping Milo using tankers! :P Caught this on the Federal Highway while leaving Midvalley MegaMall. Maybe instead of using the van, now they are using tankers to bring fresh, cold milo to the schools. :D Great idea! :)

Crazy Evo_Waja, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Yes,here's a fine example of how Malaysian love to have the look but don't have the substance to back up the look. :) Great, ain't it? :) Can't have it but still have to look like it. haha. :) Banyak bagus!

Haze Boleh!

Haze_Haze, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Man,today's the worst ever...woke up smelling the stink then saw this view from my apartment around 12pm..sigh,when will it go away? This is really getting out of hand! Compare this post with the previous one with a photo of the same area that i took last week. :) Haze Mania.

The Haze Returns.

Haze_Kelana Jaya Apartments, originally uploaded by hanlian.

This was the view of the Kelana Puteri/Putera Condominuims from the LDP around 6pm...not photoshopped or anything..but it's really bad..even right now..when i look out my window of my apartment, the LDP looks really blur. Sigh, when will this end? This is like the worst Malaysia has seen so far. Oh, clear blue skies and bright starry nights..when will you return?

The Haze Strikes Back.

Haze_Western Digital_1, originally uploaded by hanlian.

This was how Petaling Jaya looked like from the Western Digital overhead bridge heading towards the Damansara/Kepong direction around 6pm yesterday. It was so bad, i felt as though my eyes had problems. I really hope this will go away soon else the people selling oxygen masks will be making a truck load of money. *cough* *cough*

Old Town ABC, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Yum, yum.. :) It's been a long time since I had this at Old Town's Medan Selera (Food Court). I still remember last time when i was still living in Tanjung Malim, where there was this lady that sold ABC (Air Batu Campur : Shaved ice with syrup and condiments) too but its in a shape of a ball and she would just pour the syrup into the ball..and to we would just suck on the ball of ice wit syrup..Oh man, that was heaven. :D Anybody out there still remember that wonderful dessert? :D

Mr. Gambus.

The Stage, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Mr. Gambus and gang on stage. :) Performing alongside him was Eric Li on piano, Julian Chan on saxaphone, John Thomas on drums and Wan on bass. Too bad his CDs were totally sold-out. Should have bought it when i was picking up GruvAvenue's CD. ;) Farid Ali aka Mr. Gambus will be performing at Alexis Bistro, Great Eastern Mall next Friday and Saturday so if anyone missed his gig at Sunrise..should go check him out there. He's the man with a mission to keep the Gambus instrument alive before it gets wipe off the ever-growing/maturing Malaysian music scene. Keep going,man..we'll be right behind you. :)

Encore?

The Place I Sat, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Here am i at the Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2005 again. :D Sat at a different area this time round..in front of StarBucks. Met Li Mei's school friends..friendly bunch of people. :) GruvAvenue was great...Mr. Farid Ali aka Mr. Gambus was great too. :) Can't wait for next week when Afro Asia with Steve Thornton and Aseana Percussion Unit performs the finale to the Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2005. :)

Mixed Pork Knuckles & ribs, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Hmmmm, doesn't it look so yummy? :P Had this mixed pork knuckles and ribs for lunch. Sauerkraut and the rosti was a great combo. :) Abit too heavy for lunch but we had it around 4pm so oklar. :P Considered as dinner..hehe. :) Some bits were abit tough/chewy but still good. The sausages are great too. :) Think we came out smelling alittle too porky. haha. :P So check out Euro-Deli, won't go wrong. :)

Bonne substance!

VitaMilk, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Had this VitaMilk while having a late lunch at Euro-Deli, Damansara Uptown. Great stuff from Thailand..too bad, i've not seen it in the supermarkets here yet. Just here at Euro-Deli. :) Love it. :D

Watched The Island with Li Ann and Li Mei at the new GSC, One Utama. Pretty good place i have to say..maybe cause it's still new. So guess i'll have to go visit there more often before it becomes old. haha. :P The movie was pretty good...seem to favour Sci-Fi movies more..but somehow its getting abit dull cause it's almost all the same..so if you liked Minority Report or PayCheck then The Island will be right down your alley. :) Scarlett Johansson was pretty hot in the movie...so bonus points for the movie. haha. :P

Hamster, originally uploaded by hanlian.

This was the fella that freaked. :D This pose reminds me of a character from the cartoon/movie from my childhood, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Still remember that cartoon/movie? I still remember that i used to go crazy about that movie. haha. :P So doesn't this fella remind you of Master Splinter? Now looking back,i have to say the names that they came up for characters in cartoon/movies are pretty crappy! haha. :P But still good cartoons/movies. :D I wonder if you could still find the cartoons/movies in DVD format. :) Would love to watch them again. :)

By the way,i realise that this new blogface of mine might not work so well with Internet Explorer on pc but it seems to work fine on my mac..Internet Explorer, Netscape and also Safari..so bear with me while i try to fix it up. :)

Stick 'em Up!

Hamster - Stick 'em Up, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Caught this one just milliseconds after the hamster on the right fell over. :D The one on the left freaked the one on the right out..and the one on the right could only stand on its hind legs and raise its front legs. :D Super funny scene. hehe. ;) Hamsters belonging to the Kam sisters...abit too big for my liking. :) Used to have dwarf hamsters but just didn't have enough time for them anymore. :) Too bad...but i'm kinda thinking about taking in chinchillas..hehe. :P Or maybe Sugar-Gliders. :) That i could wait for Nelson & Yvonne to get them and when the sugar-gliders give birth..i could just take them off their hands. hehe. :P Good plan, ei? :P

Ce n'est pas la brume!

That's Not The Haze, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Don't worry, that's not that haze but the rain coming from afar...saving us for a moment from the stench of the foul smell. :) It was pretty interesting to watch and hear the rain come from the distance. :) Too bad the rain only lasted for like 20 minutes. Well, off to the car-wash soon else it'll look like crap by Saturday. :)

Très nouveau.

Just finished changing my blog template. :) How do you find it? I thought since this blog is gonna be one year old soon..might as well, change the look abit. :D Got the stuffs from Blogger-Template. There are others but i think this one is easier and kinda suits me more. :D Though there are some minor flaws in the coding..will try to fix those ASAP. :) I'm still quite happy though with the outcome of this change. :D Might take a longer time to load now cause i've posted some buttons and stuffs..so bear with me on this. :) Feel free to help me out here,if you can figure out what's the problem. :P The few that are using the same template as I am currently. :) The View From The Balcony The Adventures Of Dan Price Blue Tones

Joel dancing_Children Church, originally uploaded by hanlian.

Was suppose to come up with a game or 2 for Children Church today but it seems that i misunderstood Mooi Geok about the matter..so had to come up with something for the kids on the spot cause it was 5th week activity day for them. :) So was playing some dancing games and some stare-competitions with them..and as you can see from this photo..Joel was throughly enjoying himself. :) Man,the boy can dance and dance and dance..even without the music..haha. :P

Then we had our 5th week PotBless thing..been awhile since we had food together in church. :) Then had the Christmas Creative Team meeting to finalize what we're gonna be doing for this year's Christmas. And after that, didn't even get to take a nap and i went to Sri Hartamas with Elaine cause she was gonna get something done to her hair at The Lab. Ok,so i also got a little trim here and there on my bombed hairstyle. :) Gonna be going back there again soon to re-perm my hair since i'm giving up the dreadlock idea cause it doesn't sound so easy to maintain after all. :)

Their next gig will be at Alexis Bistro, Great Eastern Mall,Jalan Ampang on the 19th and 20th of August. So if you have time, go check them out. Won't be a waste of your time, that's for sure. :)

Ain't I the luckiest guy that night. :P Managed to get a photo with Beverly who was singing for Groove Unction. Thank you, Farah for helping me and pushing me to take this photo. :D Have to say..at first her voice kinda reminded me of Ashley Simpson..but after awhile, she was one of a kind. :D The good kind.. ;)

John Thomas on drums.

One of the few greats drummers in town. :) Has a bunch of groupies standing behind him while he's playing. :) Forgot to take a photo of his groupies. :P Pulled off a Dave Weckl song..which isn't a very easy thing to do..and i think the amount of drumsticks that you break in 1 hour also shows how good you are..haha. :P

Jose Thomas & Fly.

Jose Thomas on lead guitar and Fly on bass. The man commands the crowd..he doesn't ask the crowd to participate..he just says it and the crowd follows. :D Wonderful vibe! :)
