Went over to Naza World just now for a look at some cars. I can't believe Naza stocks up so many upmarket cars in their showroom. I wonder where they get all the money from.
Anyways, this Ferari was sitting right at the entrace.

It looked really good. :D

But I was more mesmerized by the Subaru WRX STI sitting outside. And having a price tag of RM 240k, I might just be able to afford it if I rob a couple of banks in town. ;) Just kidding. Me no robber...but would definitely help if some benevolent sponsor give me loads of cold hard cash. Haha. :)
They even had a Maserati in the showroom that cost RM 7 million. Who would have that kind of money? Crazy!

Ok,so I know nuts about the japanese language but at least I know how to greet people according to the time of the day and maybe a couple of other phrases. :D
Anyways, went to Sugimoto at Sri Hartamas last night with a friend for a belated birthday dinner for me. :)

Wasn't that difficult to find but it was a little difficult to get a parking space. Love the interior of the restaurant, pretty cosy if you ask me. If I had more friends with me, we could have gotten one of the private cubicles. :)

No,this isn't my drink. I can't drink, everybody knows that. I'm wasted with just a can of jolly shandy, now that's bad! But it's cool, I need my liver for something else. haha. :D

Got myself a Sukiyaki set. Pretty interesting, can't say I've had a lot of this but it was good enough for me. :)

Just can't get over the part where you're suppose to dip whatever you take out of the hotpot into the raw egg before chomping it down.

And look at what I got from my friend. :) Cute, ei?
It's called Kokeshi and it was first made in the northern provinces of Japan about 150 years ago. It was originally made as a toy for children of farmers. It developed into a modern craft from a simple toy as the countryside developed culturally. Having outgrown the status of being a toy for children, Kokeshi is now recognized as one of the traditional folk arts in Japan.
Kokeshi is handmade by skilled craftsmen entirely from wood-cutting to painting. Sounds like I did my research about this thing, right? ;) All thanks for the information flyer included with the Kokeshi. haha. :D
According to my friend, it's customary to give the blue one to your special someone and keep the red one. Blue to the ladies and red to the gentlemen. I guess it's something to remind you of the other person.

Went to Bangsar Village's Delicious by Ms. Read with Mia and Adam for an early dinner before the KL Sing Song at KLPac yesterday.
You have to go check out the KL Sing Song at KLPac if you have not been to a Singer-Songwriter Round. Good stuff.
Anyways, back to Delicious.

The potato wedges were yummy. Good price to food quantity + quality ratio. :)
I'm a potato person, and you'll be seeing a lot of potatos. Have to keep my shape. :P

Then there was the Nyonya Laksa. The sambal could have done with a little more kick but I guess that can be solved by asking for more sambal. :) Good amount of lemak in the soup so that's always good. :D

And to wash all those food down, a glass of Death by Chocolate. Ice cream, iced chocolate and dark chocolate. :D
Others who've been there :

Celebrated Queen of the World's birthday at EuroDeli, Damansara Kim with Nelson and Yvonne. This is kinda like our thing where the four of us would go out to celebrate each other's birthdays like last year for me and Yvonne.
Man, time really flies when you're enjoying yourself. Can't believe that a year has passed.

The roesti with bacon was a must to have with my meals. Can't pass up potatoes. :)
Queen of the World had Gebackene Schweins Haxe [Pork Knuckles] which she didn't finish. What a waste of good food. :D Guess it's best since we had dessert after. :)

Nelson had the pork knuckle and ribs mix. Quite a hefty portion. Maybe we should share the next round we are there. :)

Yvonne had the EuroDeli Special, Pork cooked with beer and a side-dish of spaghetti. Too bad you can't taste the beer but it was not too bad.

As for me, I had some Gefuelltes Schweine Schnitzel [Pork Cordon Bleu]. Breaded pork escalope stuffed with ham and cheese. Just fantastic, a little to dry for me but it was all good. :D

Since dinner can never be complete without desserts, we headed over to 1 Utama to check out Bakerzin. Oh man, what a wicked dessert shop.

Desserts galore and all in a lovely cozy ambience. You can choose the Dessert Tapas where you can have 3, 5 or 7 selections of tapas. You have to try the Hot Chocolate Shooter with Vanilla Ice Cream [That's the one the left]. The one in the middle is the Chocolate & Caramel Ice Cream with Hazelnut Rice Crispies and the one on the right is the Vanilla Crème Brulee.

The Profiteroles wasn't that great but maybe it was because I had the Bailey's Irish Cream Souffle.

By the way, I'm still trying to figure out how to eat this. Are you suppose to pour the Bailey's into the souffle? Or have a bite then take a sip?

All washed down with a cup of latte. Man, if we knew they serve main dishes as well, we would have just went there for dinner and dessert. :D
Anybody's birthday coming up soon? ;)

Yeah, another has passed and I'm a year older with no progress on getting my own private island. Where are my sponsors?
So anyways, it was a simple birthday for me. Just me and a couple of close friends sharing a pizza, some pastas and a salad at Pizza Uno,CenterPoint.

It was ok but not the best since I love the pizzas over at Alexis Bistro, Great Eastern Mall so much. Roy, what do you put in those pizzas? :D

The pasta was quite interesting but this one wasn't that great. A little too light on the white wine sauce.

Now if they had added pork bacon instead of beef bacon to this caesar salad, I would have been a happy camper but oh well, this is Malaysia. :D

Thanks to me best buddies, I got a pair of cufflings, which I needed to buy eventually from Raoul but these from TopMan is more than enough. :D Thanks a lot! I really like it.

And the guys over at Bangkok Jazz was just fantastic lar. Went over there on Saturday thinking that it was just a regular gig with Farid Ali, Eric, Fly, John, Bada and special guest Chie Hanawa. Those jokers pulled a fast one on me by telling the crowd that it was my birthday and getting me to go to the front of the stage to present me with a cake and a birthday song. Damn malu.
Paiseh betul lar, the crowd came to see the band perform and had to endure looking at me blushing and smiling. But thanks guys! It was great, really appreciate the gesture! :D All thanks for KS and Elyna lar...banyak pandai. :P
I guess it's not too bad turning 24.

Finally, almost a week long music festival is finally over. KLMF 2006 at Istana Budaya was quite fun and I got to see more of the musicians and get to know them better throughout the festival.

All thanks to Puan Ein from the Ministry of Culture, scored myself a couple of media passes for alldatJazz.com to cover the event. Check out the website for a review of the event soon.

Kinda got hooked to this drink after Joyce [or was it Anusha?] introduced it to me. Imported from Indonesia. Suppose to quite a big hit there. I like it. :)

I wonder if I can get them at supermarket in town.

On the first night, managed to catch Aseana Percussion Unit [APU], Saharadja, ChungMyung Art Troop and Kulintangan Beauforth Sabah perform.
The ChungMyung Art Troop was quite interested to watch as they did all the acrobatic moves while playing their instruments. I wonder how the people liked them at the Rainforest World Music Festival.

Lucky me, got to take photo with Chie Hanawa. She looks really cute in that kimono. ;)

L-R : Nick [The Idea Of North], me, Eric Li
Nick is such a joker. :) But this photo came out quite well, I suppose.

L-R : Nick, Maxine, Trish, Naomi, me, Andrew
The Idea of North was such a fun bunch. :) Had so much fun just driving them around town and getting them to the radio stations for their interviews.
Max was great fun too even though we didn't spend much time sitting around as she had to run around to get things ready for the festival.
I hope Korea and Penang this year will be more fun than this. :D

Last week, we got to go back to Noble House again for another dinner with Dax & Evelyn. They had an extra 2 tables leftover from their wedding dinner so a bunch of us were invited to go help them finish the job. :D
At least this round, I remembered to take photos. ;)

The suckling pig from another angle from the last round.

Yummy fish. Not big enough for all of us though. ;)

Man, the tofu mixed with vegetable and mushrooms were fantastic! What a great mix. *slurp*

Of course you can't forget about the prawns. :) Actually it wasn't exactly the same dishes we had during the dinner but it was still good. :D
We headed over to BonTon for some desserts and drinks.

They really do need to stop moving already. I think quite a lot of people are trying to figure out where are they now. :)
From Jalan Kia Peng to Jalan Ceylon and now at Jalan Conlay. But I do like the new place...looks much better.

Was too full and tired to take photos so I just took whatever was on the table and it was pretty dimly lit.
Anyways, it was nice to just chill on the comfy sofas and couches.
